Our Wills, Probate and Private Client department is headed by Eric Skinner. Eric has practised as a solicitor for over 25 years, has drafted hundreds of wills for clients, and has acted for numerous families following the death of a loved one. Eric is assisted by Michael Toplis who works as a consultant to the firm. Michael is also very experienced having worked as a probate legal executive for the past 40 years.

ELS & Cole is able to act in all probate matters, no matter how small or large the estate. We take pride in providing an understanding, sympathetic and professional  service during the whole probate process - from the death of a loved one, to the obtaining of grant of probate, administration of the estate and final distribution of bequests and assets to the beneficiaries.

We are also able to advise on all aspects of estate planning e.g. drafting and amending wills and codicils, the establishment of trusts for the purposes of limiting inheritance tax, drafting enduring powers of attorney for loved ones in the event of an inability
to handle one’s own affairs.
